Rios, Artur Lescher
Rios is a project conceived by the artist Artur Lescher following a conversation in Foz do Iguaçu, Brazil, with Argentinian writer Carlos Gamerro, Spanish poet Adolfo Montejo Navas, editor Alexandra Garcia Waldman, Colombian artist Bernardo Ortiz, and Brazilian artist Otávio Schipper. The shared flow of ideas about rivers, names, memories, words, metaphors, ironies, landscapes, dreams, and materials is registered in the book, tracing a storyline—or a stream—for Lescher's works. The publication also features an anthology about rivers conceived and organized by Carlos Gamerro with a graphic design project by Bernardo Ortiz and an epilogue by Victoria Noorthoorn. Rios was co-edited by Associação para o Patronato Contemporâneo (APC) and Cosac Naify.
