Bruno Dunley is the most comprehensive publication on the artist's production, featuring around 100 pieces created from 2007 to 2017. Dunley's works depart from found images and analyses of the fundaments of painting, comprehending linguistic codes, such as gestures, planes, surfaces, and forms of representation as an alphabet or a shared vocabulary. Since 2016, Dunley's practice has focused on gestural abstraction, without, however, leaving aside the representation of everyday objects.

The publication features conversations between Dunley and the art critic and curator Carlos Eduardo Riccioppo, the curator João Bandeira, and the artists Rodrigo Andrade, Ana Prata, and Leda Catunda. The book was launched in 2018 at Galeria Nara Roesler in New York, on the occasion of the exhibition The Mirror, Dunley's first solo show in the city—and the gallery's spaces in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro.
